As a Hostess, you are responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, and maintaining an organized and inviting entrance area. As the first point of contact for patrons, the Hostess sets the tone for their dining experience by providing a warm and friendly welcome.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Achieve the monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established.

Guest Greeting and Seating:
  • Welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude upon their arrival.
  • Manage the seating chart and assign tables based on reservations and server rotations.
  • Ensure timely and efficient seating to maintain a smooth flow in the dining area.
Reservation Management:
  • Answer phone calls and assist guests with making reservations.
  • Maintain an organized reservation system, keeping track of booking details and special requests.
  • Confirm reservations and communicate any special arrangements to the service and kitchen teams
Guest Communication:
  • Provide information to guests about the restaurant, including menu details, daily specials, and promotions.
  • Communicate estimated wait times and manage guest expectations.
  • Handle guest inquiries and address concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
Cooperation with Service Team:
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination.
  • Relay special requests or dietary restrictions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
Waitlist Management:
  • Manage the waitlist during peak hours, providing accurate wait time estimates.
  • Keep guests informed about their status in the waitlist and notify them when their table is ready.
  • Implement effective strategies to minimize wait times and enhance guest satisfaction.
Upkeep of Entrance Area:
  • Maintain a clean and organized entrance area, including the reception desk and waiting area.
  • Ensure proper lighting and ambiance to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Display a professional appearance and uphold the restaurant's dress code.
Assistance with Special Events:
  • Assist in coordinating and managing special events or private parties.
  • Work closely with the events team to ensure seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build positive relationships with regular patrons and make them feel valued.
  • Collect feedback from guests and communicate valuable insights to management.
  • Contribute to creating a memorable and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
Emergency Response:
  • Be aware of emergency procedures and act responsibly in case of fire, evacuation, or other emergencies.
  • Provide assistance to guests during emergency situations and follow established safety protocols.
