WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Achieve the monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) established.
Audit and Verification:
- Conduct regular audits of income-related transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Verify revenue streams, including sales, reservations, events, and other income sources.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, resolving issues in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyse income-related reports for management review.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.
- Provide insights into income trends, anomalies, and potential areas of improvement.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard against errors and fraud.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal audit teams to address control-related issues.
Collaboration with Operational Teams:
- Work closely with operational teams to understand cash-related needs.
- Address inquiries from operational teams regarding cash transactions.
- Provide support and training to operational staff on cash handling procedures.
System and Process Improvements:
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements related to income audits.
- Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement enhancements.
- Stay informed about industry best practices in income auditing.
Cash Handling and Bank Reconciliation:
- Audit and reconcile cash handling procedures at various points of sale.
- Assist in the reconciliation of daily, weekly, and monthly bank statements.
- Monitor and investigate discrepancies in cash deposits and withdrawals.
Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain organized and detailed records of income-related transactions.
- Ensure that all audit documentation is complete, accurate, and readily accessible.
- Facilitate the retrieval of information during internal and external audits.
Training and Education:
- Provide training to operational and finance teams on income audit procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and industry regulations.
- Support ongoing education initiatives related to financial controls.
Customer Billing and Invoicing:
- Audit customer billing and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address billing inquiries.
- Implement improvements to streamline the customer billing process.
Ad Hoc Project & Analysis:
- Contribute to ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
- Participate in special projects related to income analysis and financial integrity.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives.
